12:01 pm killing a young restaurant employee-- in front of her four year old son. closing arguments are underway in the murder trial for donte power. soon-- power's fate will rest in the hands of a jury. kayla anderson is live from district court with the latest on today's proceedings in our top story. donte power has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. but, ultimately it'll be up to the jury to decide if he's responsible. power is facing several charges-- including first degree murder and armed robbery for the july 2008 death of 26-year-old qui sen chen . prosecutors say chen was working at the golden star chinese restaurant-- when power walked in and shot her in the chest-- in july of 2008. power then allegedly grabbed a tip jar-- and took off. in closing arguments today the state said-- while there is no video of the shooting-- evidence shows power stole the murder weapon from a work aquaintance two weeks before the shooting... and
